Tips for Christian Fanartists:
When portraying characters together learning about JEHZUZ, think to yourself:
“Where are their arms? Does one of them have their arm in a position where it looks like he’s grabbing the other characters tit? Gee, maybe I should change that.”
Ahahahahahah
I CAN’T FSDJKFJDSNBVJFODA
oops
I’m just gonna bring this back because Queen Made me laugh for five minuets straight when I first saw her contribution.
You guys are f*cking idiots… So freaking sick minded, and wrong. I hope that flying lawnmower ricochets and hits you dumb butts in the face.
It was just a joke…I was just going along with what the person who submitted it said, it wasn’t meant to be serious.
And I definitely don’t have anything against religion or people who support it. Yeah ok, it can seem pretty offensive, especially to the artist, but it wasn’t meant to seem that way.
It’s really not funny. The person who drew this OBVIOUSLY wasn’t the best drawer so it’s like kicking someone when they are already down. Besides, they freakin’ put them in Ulrich and Odd’s room. So it’s really counter productive to hate on this piece of art… If Jeremie’s hand was ON the picture, it would probably be somewhere near her NECK and that would be like he’s choking her? If it was on her shoulder it would be like he was seducing her, so TECHNICALLY it’s better for his hand to be off the picture… He could be holding her arm? People are throwing the “change” and “peace in the world” card down everyone’s throats and this doesn’t really seem to help matters. There is already enough hate on “christians” enough as it is and a majority of other religions view points. But let’s not make peaceful art, NAH, let’s all draw pornography. Because, that’s more accepted. SMH.
The problem is, while advocating something that’s peaceful, he accidentally put something that could be considered as suggestive, and that immediately changes the meaning and possibly context of his artwork unfortunately. And considering we can’t see where Jeremie’s hand is, it’s open to all sorts of interpretations.
And getting the intended meaning through a piece of work (any sort of work) is one thing that people tend to learn the hard way.
I can pretty much assure that this person didn’t draw it SUGGESTIVE ON PURPOSE, I MEAN WTF? Aelita has NO CHEST whatsoever… She’s freaking like 12 years old. What the heck is going through all you people’s minds? I don’t find it suggestive. You’ve just taken your brain out and rubbed it in the mud one too many times. Sheesh.
Um… I did type the word ‘accidentally’ regarding what the artist did, and did not say that the artist did mean to say this was a suggestive piece on purpose. Not to mention that art and anything related to it is open to interpretation from anybody. You see it differently to me, I see it differently to you and vice versa. No one person can have the same view of a piece of work.
Like I said, it’s unfortunate that this person did not get the intended meaning of his work through to some of the people that have viewed it, but this is what happens when you leave out a piece of visual information to your audience. It allows it to be open to interpretation, and the message you want your audience to get from this piece becomes twisted and transformed to what the person sees in their mind. If only Jeremie’s hand was in it and not in the place people would be thinking it to be in, the message the artist would want to convey would be there, and not open to any sexual interpretation.
I’m trying to provide an objective argument to this, and of why people would think that way, whether you like it or not. This is one of the reasons why I study Psychology in university, to know what’s going on in people’s heads, and how they receive visual, social and audible cues.
Okay, Mister/Miss “I know everything in the entire freaking universe because I study Psychology”. That does not mean anything unless you are a legitimate PSYCHOLOGIST… I look at this picture and I STILL after… like a DAY or MORE do not SEE what you guys see, At all. Furthermore, NOT everyone in the world thinks that way. SURE, a bigger percentage world does… Filth goes in and out of people’s minds from day to day in media, music and movies. Art is NOT supposed to be EXPLAINED… If you don’t understand it, then MOVE ON with your life. Don’t rip it apart. It OBVIOUSLY wasn’t MEANT for you. I don’t know who you think you are shoving “what you’re studying” and crap into this conversation… that doesn’t help matters at ALL. It has really nothing to do with it or WHAT I was talking about or getting at. You CHOOSE what you see… RATHER than SEEING what it was meant to mean, you switch it around and change it, for you… Only seeing it for its FLAWS and MESS UPS rather than what it’s TRYING to portray.
Over-all, I can’t ask YOU to understand or get what I’m getting at and whatever that’s okay, but just STOP, And let it be. It’s just FLAT OUT RUDE to pick at people’s arts… Yes criticism is okay, but I’m sure a Christian artist WILL NOT listen to an Atheist for Religious advice on art. Especially since most atheists (at least that I know) are bitter towards Christians and/or other religions that believe in a deity or that Jesus existed. The whole fact of the matter is, I do not believe this person deserves that, at all. And I really despise, seeing things like this that are religiously and negatively directed on my dashboard. I still stand by the fact I think this post is idiotic, even if it was a “joke”. People don’t make a huge tumblr page about hating religious ART as a joke. It’s all VERY offensive. Last time I checked, I got on tumblr to get the freak away from that.
END OF FRICKIN’ STORY.
Can you stop calling me names and just understand that I am trying to be as objective as I possibly can here without insulting anybody for their own beliefs. It’s not going to help this situation at all, and it’s going to provoke people to respond back to what you said. I was only providing what background education I had that caused me to be objective towards this rather than subjective (Which has something to do with how I explain my argument). It wasn’t meant to be a boast to say that I know everything in the world. Because Psychology doesn’t teach you how to change a tire of a car, that’s for sure. I’m sorry you took it that way.
I’m perfectly aware that this is supposed to be a cute couple moment, just with Christianity involved in it. And personally I think the artist has got a very good grasp with CL style. The thing is, because that one part of the piece that is open for interpretation there is why this is posted on Tumblr, and I think if people think that way about that part, it puts a negative view on Christianity, because it’s part of the piece.
I also derive any sort of meaning from art and writing, whether it’s body language dialogue, what context it’s in etc., otherwise art would just be looking at a picture and that’s just boring as all hell. I don’t need an explanation why the artist/author did it or why he would put their bodies like that. I just want my own interpretation, and if it matches what the artist wants me to interpret, than that’s even better.
And that’s the last thing I wanted to say about it. I don’t want you to misunderstand what I’m trying to point out here. And I don’t mean to sound like I’m better than you. I just wanted to voice my opinion on why people see things the way they do.
And that’s pretty much it.
Okay, Christianity gets enough hate as it is, and so does Islam and Judaism. No matter what someone does that’s “good” someone will always point out the BAD in it. Like this tumblr post… but what I don’t seem to get is… What part of end of story, is hard to understand? Was it, because I threw the “frickin” in there? If so,
OHMYGAWSHIMSOSORRYIDISCOMBOBULATEDTHISAMAZINGANDINTERESTINGTUMBLRPOST
Well, if you didn’t say it so rudely it would’ve been the end of this. Just sayin’, if you’re going to be rude to me, this isn’t going to stop anytime soon.
Besides, every group, whether it’s religious or not, gets hated upon. It’s part of life.
This is my final word on this, and I really hope I don’t have to go back to this.
